Reimbursements without spreadsheets
Campaign discounts are the everyday of vehicle sales. The harder question in a network is not how much discount — it is who funds it: the importer, the network, or both, and in what share.
That settlement — participations and reimbursements between the importer and the dealers — still lives in spreadsheets and e-mail in many networks. In VEGA we made it part of the system.
A campaign instead of a circular
The importer manages discounts as campaigns per model, each with its validity and a status that follows its life: in preparation, planned, valid. A campaign is copied instead of retyped, edits are tracked with their timestamps, and reports for the network export at any moment — the overview of all active campaigns, model by model.
Every discount has rules — and an owner
A discount line defines how it behaves: standalone or additive to a parent discount, for which trim levels and versions, for which buyer types, sales channels and financing options. And crucially, every line carries its funding: the discount itself, the network’s participation, the importer’s participation and the dealer’s margin — the system distributes the shares as they are entered.
Where a claim will need supporting evidence, the discount says so in advance — the dealer knows at the moment of sale what the reimbursement request must include.
Down to the individual vehicle
For stock campaigns the same logic reaches the individual chassis: a list of vehicles with their discounts and participations is imported in one step, and VEGA files each entry into the right model campaign automatically. What applies to a specific vehicle is written on that vehicle — not in a side agreement.
Proven in production
The approach is not an experiment: in GAIA, our CRM for Summit Motors Ljubljana, discount approval requests between the dealers and the importer have been running through the system in production for some time. With the Discounts and Participations module in VEGA we are taking the same logic a step further for GA Adriatic: the funding of every discount is defined up front — campaign by campaign, share by share, down to the individual chassis.
Every approved discount has a known funder in advance — and a record that settles the reimbursement without a debate.
A closing thought
A discount is a promise to the customer; a participation is an agreement within the network.
A system that holds both keeps campaigns fast on the showroom floor and settlements clean in the back office.
The discount is promised to the customer; the participation is agreed in the network. The system holds both.
